2024 was a pivotal year for Plusmo: we renewed our brand identity, expanded operations into Europe, and strengthened our business model with innovative solutions. We are now poised for a 2025 filled with challenges and opportunities.
An update to our corporate image accompanied the relaunch of our brand. Our new company logo was inspired by the concept of infinite solutions taking shape now of connection with our clients. This reflects our renewed business focus: enabling easy connections through trusted solutions. Moreover, the logo refresh positions Plusmo as a global organization, signaling its expansion beyond Latin America and its commitment to engaging with international markets.
Expanding Our Business Model
Our diversification efforts extended geographically as we entered new markets. For instance, we are currently implementing Rich Communication Services (RCS) solutions in Spain, while in France we are conducting proof-of-concept trials for Mobile ID. The goal is to combat fraud and verify that the individual contacting us is indeed the legitimate owner of the mobile line.
This year, we expanded our omnichannel messaging services. While continuing to support the massive SMS delivery business, we focused on RCS technology, a significant advancement in messaging protocols. RCS offers advanced features, and rich multimedia capabilities, with greater integration with messaging services, chatbots, and business tools. This addition enhances our communication solutions portfolio, which includes professional corporate WhatsApp services.
At the same time, we deepened our focus on Internet of Things (IoT) services. In 2024, PLUSMO signed a strategic agreement with Flo Live, an Israeli company and global leader in providing SIM and eSIM cards for IoT (Internet of Things) connectivity, further strengthening our commitment to innovative IoT solutions. Our initiatives connect devices and objects through projects enabling intelligent, remote monitoring across telemetry, logistics, agriculture, healthcare, and security sectors. This partnership reflects our evolution as a global organization, reinforced by our refreshed corporate image.
Additionally, we tackled the challenge of enabling mobile payments with customized solutions.
Enhancing Security for the Mobile Ecosystem
In 2024, we placed a strong emphasis on cybersecurity solutions for the mobile ecosystem. Amid increasingly sophisticated fraud schemes, we launched a comprehensive suite of Mobile ID APIs that enhance identity authentication and protect against fraudulent activities.
For example, our SIM-swapping protection API informs businesses whether a customer has changed their SIM card within the past 90 days, switched mobile operators, or if the phone number is valid. This API connects directly with telecom providers to deliver real-time verification, making it an invaluable anti-fraud tool for banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, and e-commerce platforms that validate transactions through customers’ mobile phones.
Our suite of Mobile ID APIs also includes tools for number verification, device status, and device location.
On the educational front, we hosted significant webinars for clients and business partners. A standout example was our December 3 session, which covered key trends in mobile identity, both current and emerging.
Presence at Global Trade Shows and Conferences
This year, we showcased our expertise at world-class mobility conferences, forging key alliances for the future. For example, we participated in the Wholesale World Congress (WWC 2024), held from September 18–20 in Madrid, Spain. There, we presented our business solutions for the Spanish market, focusing on Rich Communication Services (RCS) and Mobile ID. We partnered with major operators such as Telefónica and Orange and hosted a highly successful networking event, attended by 40 industry peers and prominent members of the local press, including EFE and La Vanguardia.
In Argentina, we took part in the 9th edition of the Fin & Pay Latam Forum, held on July 4 at Puerto Salguero, Buenos Aires. We delivered a focused presentation on mobile identity fraud. We also attended the WWC event in Buenos Aires, which brought together representatives from across Latin America, and we proudly sponsored the event’s welcome reception.
Looking Ahead to 2025
We close 2024 with significant achievements and a future brimming with opportunities. With a renewed vision, entry into new markets, and cutting-edge technology, Plusmo is ready to innovate and continue connecting the world in 2025.
